Question: On how much monthly salary we should pay income tax in India?
Answer: If your projected gross income during the financial year exceeds the maximum amount which is not chargeable to income-tax, then your employer will deduct income tax, monthly, on such projected annual income.
It is not based on monthly salary.
New Tax Code: Pay 10% tax for salary up to Rs 10 lakh
