Question: Non profit organizations and compensation tax?

When a non profit organization compensates some one (say a board member), is the person receiving the compensation taxed by IRS for that money?





Answer: Non profit organizations have employees just like other companies. They are compensated like other employees. Board members may or may not be paid depending on organization policy.
