Question: what kind of basic license do i need for prepare/file Tax Return for public?
I know there is a licese (not CAP and accountant licenses) for people who can prepare income tax for public. But, I don’t know the title name of this license and what level of education do I need to achieve/complete?
PS: I will be educate in United States
Answer: Some states, including mine, California, require a license others let any idiot hang out a shingle and call himself a tax preparer. You should at least have some basic class, like that offered for a fee by H&R Block to the public, before you open up shop. Even with that you will be stumped half the time.
