Tax Verification Form

Question: question about the FAFSA with detailed information?

i had to fill out that “dependent verification” form and they keep sending it back because on my parents’ tax forms they both are marked as “head of household” and the finacial aid office said that was unacceptable. i don’t know what to do and my parents barely speak english so they don’t have a clue what to do. if you know what i’m talking about please help.

Answer: if your parents are divorced or separated, you should only give the info for the one that you live with. if they are married and living together, they are doing something wrong with their taxes as only one person can be the head of the household
