Estimate Tax Return 2009

Question: Tax Return estimation?

It will be the first time I will file for tax returns in January 2009..
i start working in april 2008 and my wife is not working at this time, i m supporting her til she finds something…
how can someone who experience a case like me can estimate a return. i want to claim myself and my wife.
i work 40 hrs for nearly 350 per week without overtime and about $ 90 in taxes
$ 350 is my NET per week if i do not work overtime and about $90 on taxes

Answer: If your income was around $350 per week, starting in April, you wouldn’t owe any federal income tax, so whatever was withheld for federal income tax would be refunded to you. That does NOT include social security and medicare – that doesn’t get refunded.

Depending on where you live, you might or might not get back some or all of any state and local tax that was withheld.
