Question: How can I get more than 50/50 custody in GA when the father lives in CT he is abusive and I cant prove it?
My ex and I went to court because I was in the process of moving from Ct to GA and we had to change are visitation access from weekly to monthly. Everything is going fine I have my son here in GA with me and my husband (military, thats why we moved) until I had a conversation with my exs girlfriend of the last 2 years. She told me that she is kicking my son and my ex out of her apartment by Tax Season and she told me it wouldnt be safe to return my son with my ex to CT because he is inpatient and forceful with my son and she has always been there to protect my son when my ex gets in these mood swings but she said she fears for my son when she is no longer there. I called department of children and families in Georgia and they said they need a direct allegation to consider it a case. I have a protective order on my ex because of my exs temper what should I do. My son jujps if we put a glass down on the table to hard and he screams when he has to go in the bath tub theres so much more.
Answer: Ask the court to appoint a psychologist to evaluate your ex, you and the kid. You and the ex would have to pay for it but it’s about your only chance unless his exgirlfriend is willing to say in court what she told you.
