2008 Taxes Extension

Question: how do i file for an extension on my 2008 Taxes Online? Does the IRS recommend filing online or mailing?

Answer: go to www.irs.gov to get more details on filing for an extension. I know that if you have turbo tax you can file for an extension online with their program. If you have to print out a form and mail it in as long as it is post mark by today you are fine.

Definitely file electronically if you can. Much quicker for you and I would assume easier for the IRS. Less paper work to deal with. Also if you file electronically you will get your return much much quicker then by mail.
