Question: I would like to buy a home and claim it on my 2009 taxes? What is the deadline for me to do that?

What date do I have to buy the house by in order to claim it on my 2009 Income Taxes?

Answer: Dear c: Binding contract by Apr 30 2010 and close before June 30 2010. The credit maybe claimed on your 09 or 10 return.
