Question: Can you sue auto dealer salesmens?
I believe the California Sales Tax is based on the final price, not the msrp. He tried to trick me into saying it’s not based on the final sales price but on the msrp. I know a lawyer and he told me it’s based on the final sales price. That’s a 200 charge. I was like whatever i know your lying but okay let’s continue.
Then in the end after i’ve talked deal with the price. When i’m about to sign on the forms it shows up with 3,000 worth of dealer ad-ons. I’ve told him I wanted the standard with no dealer add-ons. Yes in the end I threatened to sue, and he ended up removing the charges and lowered my APR and months and stuff. So Basically I got those suposedly 3,000 stuff for free, because he tried to trick me.
what does horse trading mean? and how am i a sucker?
Answer: You can only sue if you get “tricked” but at the end you got a good deal so there was no damage for you to sue.
But yes the Sale Tax on anything on any jurisdiction is based on the final sale price so you can report that to the IRS and the BBB.
Tax based on the MSRP? That was really original from that loser, that’s why I hate salespeople.
