Question: Letter of support for financial aid?

Im applying to go to school and because I havent worked or filed taxes in ’08 and ’09 the school needs me to get a letter written from the person that is helping support me financially. My boyfirend is the one helping me and we dont know exactly what the letter should say. Just some facts about us: During ’08 and ’09 we were rentinig a room so our rent was only $400 a month. We both were only working jobs where we were paid under the table (babysitting, fixing cars, running errands) but we were 50/50 ont the rent and any other bills. Im not sure if that helps or if I need to add more
